Identifying the causes of vaccination refusal is important in determining strategies to combat them. In a study examining the refusal of COVID-19 vaccines based on the 3C model of vaccine rejection, formed by the World Health Organization's vaccine rejection working group (SAGE) in Malaysia, the most common reason for vaccine rejection was found to be doubt on the efficacy and safety of the vaccine. In the model defined by SAGE as the 3C, three cs are defined as confidence (confidence in the vaccine), complacency (necessity of the vaccine), convenience (suitability for the vaccine, access to the vaccine). In the same study, misinformation was shown as an important reason for vaccination refusal
