RECEPTION AND APPLICATION IN TURKEY

Year 1998, Volume: 2 Issue: 1, 257 - 274, 31.12.1998

Abstract

Although the purpose of this study is reception, it is impossible to cover the concept of reception before clarifying what "codification" is. Codification can be defined as "the process of collecting and arranging systematically, usually by subject, the law of country, or the ruies and regulations covering a particular area or subject of law
or forcible manner"L This definition is the only one of the others. But they are generally explained on the same bases. Codification has two meanings one is "a particular method of lawmaking", the other is "code" while the former means method, the later means result.
