Videos were analyzed using standardized scoring systems, including DISCERN, the Global Quality Scale, and a customized rubric assessing content comprehensiveness. Statistical analysis examined the relationship between content quality and viewer engagement.
Results A systematic search was conducted on YouTube using predefined criteria. Videos were analyzed using standardized scoring systems, including DISCERN, the Global Quality Scale, and a customized rubric assessing content comprehensiveness. Statistical analysis examined the relationship between content quality and viewer engagement.
Conclusion The study highlights the risks of relying on unverified online sources for dental health education. The findings emphasize the need for improved content regulation, professional involvement in online education, and enhanced public awareness of credible health information sources.
