With the introduction of newspapers and magazines into our cultural life, periodicals have become factors that both affect and affect social changes. For this reason, periodicals have been among the important sources in researches and determinations about our cultural history. One of the important stages of our cultural history is the proclamation of the Second Constitutional Monarchy. With the abolition of censorship after the declaration of the Second Constitutional Monarchy, we follow the reflections of the currents of ideas from the newspapers and magazines of the period. One of the currents of ideas of this period is Turkism. Turkism gained great momentum with the support of the Union and Progress, the political power of the post-Balkan Wars period. It also found the opportunity to spread in the countryside with the branches opened by the Türk Ocağı in Anatolia. Türk Ocağı journals also contributed significantly to the rapid spread of Turkism both in Istanbul and in the countryside. In this study, the formation process of Konya Türk Ocağı journal Ocak published between 1917-1918 and its contributions to the national identity construction process were determined.
