Some Aspect of Comparative Literature and Folklore Studies

Abstract

Comparative literature and folklore studies were being done without denominating around world and also around Turkey. However these studies appeared in a systematical way on the end of 19th century and whereupon developed very quickly. These studies, which were done around the world, transgressed on the beginning of 19th century from literature to folklor; there has been achieved a lot of work, after the brothers Grimm had developed mythological theory. Particularly Historical – Geographical theory, named also as Finn school, has been followed with great attention in studies of these topics around the world and all the deep seated nations used this theory. In the folklore studies work nowadays many scientists, among them especially S Thompson. In Turkey also worked and still are working many foreign and local scientists on different folklore topics

MUKAYESELİ EDEBİYAT VE MUKAYESELİ FOLKLOR ÇALIŞMALARI ÜZERİNE GÖRÜŞLER

Abstract

Mukayeseli edebiyat ve folklor çalışmaları, dünyada ve Türkiye’de orta çağdan beri adı konmamış bir şekilde yapıla gelmiştir. Ancak sistematik olarak 19. yy’ın sonlarında ortaya çıkmış daha sonra da hızlı bir gelişme göstermiştir. Dünyadaki bu çalışmaların edebiyat alanından folklor alanına geçişi de 19. yy’ın başlarında olmuş, Grimm Kardeşlerin mitolojik teoriyi oluşturmasından sonra bu alanda da önemli çalışmalar yapılmıştır. Özellikle Fin ekolü dediğimiz Tarih-Coğrafya teorisi bu konuda bütün dünyada ilgiyle takip edilmiş ve bütün eski milletler bu metodu kullanmıştır. Günümüz folklor araştırmalarında başta S. Thompson olmak üzere bilim adamları çalışmalar yapmaktadırlar. Aynı şekilde Türkiye’de de yabancı ve yerli bilim adamları folklorun çeşitli konuları üzerinde çalışmış ve çalışmaya devam etmektedirler.
