An Assessment of the Safavid, Qajar and Babur Flags

Abstract

Flag is used as a symbol of a country or a nation. A flag is usually a piece ofcustomized and formatted fabric with a distinctive design that is usuallyrectangular but may be of any shape or size. Turks were using flags of variouscolors at peace and war and the ceremonies. Because these colors also were aseparate meanings. Initially, the flags were symbols of rulers. In course of time,they had become symbol to the state. Here in this article we will represent statesof the Safavid, Qajar and Babur flags. We will also refer to motifs on flags andtheir historical basis
