Bu çalışma, Türk söylence geleneğinde ata kültü olgusunun yeniden oluşturulmasını ele almaktadır. Çalışmada, etnogonik Türk mitlerini yansıtan efsanelerde ata kültü olgusunun izlerinin çok önemli bir yer tuttuğunu göstermektedir. Türk epik mitoloji geleneğinin ana figürlerinden olan Kurt (Boz kurt) kültünün Azerbaycan halk folkloründe de izlerine rastlandığı ortaya konmaktadır
The article dedicates to the reconstruction of the ancestor cult in Turk epos tradition. The investigation shows that having the extraordinary place in Turk ethnic-cultured tradition the traces of the ancestor cult are often met in the epoces which Turk ethnogonic myths are reflected. It is cleared up that the functions of wolf (Boz Qurd – Grey Wolf) being the main character of Turk epic-mythological tradition acted as an ancestor saved itself in trace form in Azerbaijan epic folklore. The restoration work carried according to the same traces give opportunity to clear up the semantic model and transformative creators of the wolf character which take place in the beginning creation. As a result of the investigation it was clear that Gorgud Ata which saved the archaic structure found its reflection in oghuznames as a sacred person and an old cult. This specification of Gorgud Ata was expressed behavior code belonging to its ancestor spirit and shamanism-sacred person sythesis in mythic essence
