Abstract

Bu makalede temel olarak iki konu üzerinde durulacaktır. 19. asrın sonu ve 20. asrın başında Türkistan’a yönelik Çarlık Rusya’sı politikası çerçevesinde bölgede etkinlikleri artan İdilboyu Tatarlarının faaliyetleri ve bunun neticesinde hem bölgedeki Türk boyları hem de Rus idareci ve aydınları tarafından Tatarların algılanmasında oluşan değişiklikler ve buna etki eden sebepler incelenmeye çalışılacaktır. Bu tespitler yapılırken İdilboyu Tatarlarının bölgedeki faaliyetlerini sadece ekonomik nedenlere dayandırmak isteyen fikirler de değerlendirilmeye çalışılacaktır

Activities of Volga Tatars in Turkestan at the End of the 19th-Begining of the 20th Century

Abstract

In this article, two specific issues will be dealt with: the activities of the Idilboyu Tatars, whose effects on the region increased due to the politics of Tsarist Russia towards Turkestan from the late 19th century to the early 20th century and the differences in the perceptions of the Tatars by the regional Turkic communities and the Russian bureaucrats and elits. While looking into these issues, those arguments that base the activities of Tatars on only the economic reasons will also be discussed
