The aim of the Edebali Journal of Theology is to contribute to scientific knowledge by publishing original, theoretical, and applied studies in the fields of theology and social sciences through an interdisciplinary approach. The journal aims to support the universal circulation of information and to be indexed in international databases such as DOAJ and Index Islamicus.

The journal covers Basic Islamic Sciences, Philosophy and Religious Studies, and Islamic History and Arts. Scientific studies in history, culture, art, politics, and sociology are also accepted, provided they are religion-oriented. The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, and book reviews in Turkish, English, and Arabic.
