Öz

Bu çalışma sistem ve uluslararası sistem kavramlarını konu edinmektedir. Türkçe Uluslararası İlişkiler (Uİ) literatürü içinde sistemin ne anlama geldiğine dair yeterli kavram çalışması yoktur. Bu nedenle hem sistem hem de uluslararası sistemin ne ifade ettiğini tespit etmek için bu çalışma yapılarak literatüre katkı yapılması hedeflenmiştir. İlgili kavramları tanımlamak için nitel araştırma yöntemleri içinde yer alan kavram analizi yöntemine başvurulmuştur. Veriler sözlüklerden ve sistem kavramını çalışan akademisyenlerin çalışmalarından elde edilmiştir. Uİ disiplini içinde hem sistem hem de uluslararası sistem kavramının tek ve ortak bir tanımının olmadığı çalışmanın en temel vargısıdır.

The Concept of System and The Definitions in the Discipline of International Relations

Öz

This study examines the concepts of system and international system. There is not enough concept study on what the system means in Turkish International Relations (IR) literature. Accordingly, it has been aimed to contribute to the literature by doing this study to identify what both the system and the international system mean. The concept analysis method included in qualitative research methods has been used to define the concepts. The data have been obtained from the dictionaries and the studies of academicians studying the concept of the system. It is the basic conclusion of the study that there is no single and common definition of the system and international system concept in the IR.
