The use of smart phones and tablets is increasing day by day. The most important reasons are people`s wish for communication, these technological devices` making life easier, and the decrease in the prices of these products. All of the daily routines can be possible with the help of these devices. That is, people can listen to music, take photos and videos, send e-mails, surf in the social networks, and do shopping. Nowadays, many things which can be done using laptops or desktop computers are also possible via smart phones or tablet devices which are smaller in size. There are many operating systems developed for smart phones and tablets such as: Apple iOS, Google Android, and Microsoft Windows Phone. Every operating system has its unique software architecture. In the market of smart phones, Android has 60.5 million, Samsung 24 million, Apple 17 million and Nokia 19.5 million users. A new software sector named “mobile applications” has appeared as a result of the development of smart phones and tablets. Mobile applications differ from classical desktop software development steps, so the biggest problem here is there is an insufficient number of mobile software experts. In our country, there exists no courses or contents under the name of mobile programming in the curriculum of Computer Programming Departments at vocational colleges. At some private vocational colleges and departments of computer engineering, there are courses on mobile programming. In this paper, the importance of improving application via mobile programming and the technologies that are actively use will be considered. Also, a syllabus will be developed for “Mobile Programming” course to be integrated into the curriculum of computer programming
