The Surgical Journey from Routine Septoplasty Procedure to an Emergency Laparotomy: A Case Report

Year 2023, Volume: 6 Issue: 3, 101 - 104, 20.12.2023

Abstract

Septoplasty is a common surgical procedure used to treat nasal blockage resulting from a deviated septum. Septoplasty surgery can result in various complications, including functional and aesthetic issues. In this article, a 28-year-old female case who applied to the emergency department with a foreign body in the nasal cavity and palatal defect due to a septoplasty procedure is presented. It is a rare complication of the septoplasty procedure.
