Abstract

Subkutan lokalizasyonu nedeniyle patella, direkt travmaya karşı savunmasızdır. Patella kırıkları genellikle yüksek enerjili travmalar sonucu oluşmakta, patellada ve dizin çevresinde tedaviyi güçleştiren geniş yumuşak doku yaralanmalarına neden olmaktadır. Günümüzde patellar kırık tedavisinde temel amaç erken tespit ve erken harekettir. Biz burada, acil servise dizinden döner bıçağı ile yaralanma sonucu gelen ve patella fraktürü saptanan bir vakayı sunmayı amaçladık.

Patellar fracture due to impact with a doner knife: Case report

Abstract

Patella is vulnerable to the direct traumas because of its subcutaneous localisation. Patellar fractures are usually seen after high energy traumas and this traumas lead to wide soft tissue injuries that makes the treatment so hard. Nowadays, the essential aims in the treatment of patellar fractures are early fixation and early mobilisation. Here, we aimed to present a case that is admitted to the emergency department with a knee injury by a doner knife and had a patellar fracture.
