Abstract
The
aim of this paper is to analyze theoretically and experimentally the stator
current of an induction machine operating with mixed faults: broken rotor bars
and dynamic eccentricity (DE). An analytical explanation of the generation
mechanism of all frequencies related to the simultaneous presence of these two
defects is given. It is demonstrated that DE diagnosis is very difficult if
only stator current analysis is used. Experimental results have been presented
to validate the analytical and simulation results.
