Aim & Scope
This is an open-access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or author's institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
All papers will be evaluated by plagiarism detection software iThenticate and Turnitin before being sent to the referees.
EMS is a quarterly published journal operating an online submission and peer review system. It allows authors to submit articles online and track their progress via its web interface. The journal aims for a publication speed of 8 weeks from submission until final publication.
This journal is a peer-reviewed open-access engineering journal published four times a year.
European Mechanical Science (EMS) is an international, peer-reviewed journal that publishes full-length original research papers, and reviews related to all areas of Mechanical Engineering such as Solid Mechanics, Material, Automotive, Fluid Mechanics, Thermal, Engine and Power, Dynamics and Control, Robotics and Mechatronics, Transportation, Computational Mechanics, Design, Systems, Manufacturing, Biomedical, Process, and Aerospace.

All manuscripts must be in English. Pages should be numbered sequentially. The manuscript should be composed in accordance with the Article Template (https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/download/journal-file/17712 ) given above. The maximum length of contributions is 20 pages.
SUBMISSION
All manuscripts must be submitted electronically via the Internet through the online system for EMS journals at https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/ems. After selecting the journal, you will be guided stepwise through the creation and uploading of the various files. Papers are accepted for evaluation on the understanding that:
• they have not been published,
• they are not being considered for publication simultaneously elsewhere,
• they are not going to be submitted for publication elsewhere.
Copyright Form
The copyright transfer form, which can be found at https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/download/journal-file/16273, must be signed by the corresponding author on behalf of all authors and must accompany all papers submitted.
The articles are open to access and no fee is charged to the authors at any stage for the publication of the articles.
Review Article: These are the articles that scan a sufficient number of scientific articles, summarize the subject at the level of today's knowledge and technology, and evaluate and interpret these findings by comparing them.
Each article is sent to at least three referees and the evaluation phase is carried out in terms of form and content. In the refereeing process, a single-blind refereeing method is used. The articles that are determined to be able to be published in the journal are made ready for publication by typing.
Checklist
2. TITLE: The title of the manuscript should be written in Times New Roman, 14 pt., and centered with the first letters capitalized, the title should be appropriate to the text, short and clear.
All first-degree titles in the text should be written in capital letters, in second-degree titles, the first letters of all words should be capitalized, for third and lower-degree titles, only the first letter of the title should be capitalized.
3. ABSTRACT: It should be written in Times New Roman font, and in 10 pt. not exceeding 250 words.
4. KEYWORDS: 4-6 significant keywords should follow the abstract to aid indexing.
5. MANUSCRIPT STRUCTURE: In general, it should cover the introduction, materials and methods, results and discussion, and conclusions sections.
Notes:
The introduction section should provide a review of recent literature and sufficient background information to allow the results of the article to be understood and evaluated.
The materials and methods section should provide details of the materials and methods used.
The results section should provide clearly and concisely present the data, using figures and tables
The discussion section should describe the relationships and generalizations shown by the results and discuss the significance of the results, making comparisons with previously published work. (It may be appropriate to combine the Results and Discussion sections into a single section to improve clarity.)
The conclusions section should present one or more conclusions drawn from the results and subsequent discussion and should not duplicate the Abstract.
Acknowledgment (optional) of collaboration or preparation assistance may be included. Please note the source of funding for the research.
6. REFERENCES: must be cited consecutively in the text using square brackets [1] and collected together in a reference list at the end of the manuscript. (In references to be added at the end of sentences, a period sign should be placed after the reference given in square brackets.)
Notes:
A reference list must be included using the following information as a guide. Only cited text references are to be included. Each reference is to be referred to in the text by a number enclosed in a square bracket (i.e. [3] or [2] to [4] for more references; do not combine more than 3 references, explain each).
References must be numbered and ordered according to where they are first mentioned in the paper, not alphabetically. All references must be complete and accurate. Please add the DOI code if available.

FIGURES
Figures (figures, graphs, illustrations digital images, photographs) must be cited in consecutive numerical order in the text and referred to in both the text and the captions as Figure 1, Figure 2, etc. Figures should be prepared without borders and on white grounding. If a figure is composed of several parts, please mark each part with a), b), c), etc., and provide an explanation for each part in the Figure caption. Letters and numbers in the figures should be readable. The caption should be self-explanatory, times new roman, 12pt, and justify both sides. Also, the captions should be placed below the figures.

Graphics (submitted as supplementary files) may be exported in a resolution good enough for printing (min. 300 dpi) in any common format, e.g. TIFF, BMP, GIF or JPG, PDF, and should be named Fig1.jpg, Fig2.tif, etc. However, graphs and line drawings should be prepared as vector images, e.g. CDR, AI.
Multi-curve graphs should have individual curves marked with a symbol or otherwise provide distinguishing differences using, for example, different thicknesses or dashing.
TABLES
Tables should carry separate titles and must be numbered in consecutive numerical order in the text and referred to in both the text and the captions as Table 1, Table 2, etc. In addition to the physical quantities, such as t (in italics), the units (normal text) should be added in square brackets. Tables should not duplicate data found elsewhere in the manuscript. Tables should be prepared using a table editor and not inserted as a graphic. Letters and numbers in the tables should be readable. The caption should be self-explanatory, times new roman, 12pt, and justify both sides. Also, the captions should be placed above the tables.

FORMULAS AND UNITS
All formulas in the text should be written in equation format. Formulas should be given sequence numbers as (1), and (2). All units must be in the SI unit system.

It can be given before the references at the end of the text.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT (optional)
If people or institutions are to be thanked, they should be written in this section and given before the references.
THE DECLARATION OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST
Corresponding author(s) must disclose, on behalf of all author(s) of an article, any financial and personal relationships with other individuals or organizations that may improperly influence their work. Examples of potential conflicts of interest can be personal, business, political, academic, or financial.
All author(s), including those who have no interests to declare (who may state that they have nothing to declare), should provide relevant information to the corresponding author.
For example;
In accordance with the conflict of interest policy and my ethical obligation as a researcher, I declare that ……… [company, institution, person] may be affected by the research reported in the accompanying document. I have fully disclosed this conflict of interest situation to the journal and I have an approved plan for managing potential conflicts."
If no conflict of interest situation is disclosed, we will add the following statement to your article at the time of publication: "No potential conflict of interest was declared by the authors"
Ethical Principles and Publication Policy
PUBLICATION ETHICS
EUROPEAN MECHANICAL SCIENCE will check all submitted articles for plagiarism before they are previously published.
The entire article will be scanned by iThenticate® or Turnitin to prevent plagiarism. If plagiarism content is detected by the editors, the author will be notified to rewrite it. The authors are asked to reduce the similarity of their articles below 20%, and three rights are granted for a week for similarity. If the similarity rate is still more than acceptable level, the manuscript will be rejected and the author will be informed.
It is strongly recommended authors check their content before submitting it to EMS for publication. Although plagiarism is not completely reliable, it is recommended to use some free plagiarism programs. The publication processes implemented in the EUROPEAN MECHANICAL SCIENCE Journal form the basis for the development and distribution of information in an impartial and respectful manner. The processes implemented in this direction are directly reflected in the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support the authors. Peer-reviewed studies are studies that embody and support the scientific method. At this point, it is important that all stakeholders of the process (authors, readers, researchers, publishers, referees, and editors) comply with the standards for ethical principles. Within the scope of the publication ethics of the EUROPEAN MECHANICAL SCIENCE Journal, all stakeholders are expected to bear the following ethical responsibilities.
The ethical duties and responsibilities listed below have been prepared as open access, taking into account the guidelines and policies published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).Editors of the EUROPEAN MECHANICAL SCIENCE Journal should have the following ethical duties and responsibilities based on the "COPE Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors" and "COPE Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors" published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) as open access:
Author Ethical Responsibilities
1. European Mechanical Science (EMS) accepts all studies submitted to the journal for evaluation only with the system offered by DergiPark. Studies that are sent by mail, fax, e-mail, or other means are not taken into consideration.
2. The author(s) are responsible for preparing their work in accordance with the format announced on the website of European Mechanical Science (EMS) and submitting all required documents (Copyright Transfer Form, Ethics Committee Approval Certificate, etc.) to the journal. Author names, institution information, contact addresses, and ORCID information should be given completely and accurately, in case of a change in this information, the journal authorities should be contacted as soon as possible.
3. Articles sent to the journal for evaluation must comply with all the rules that must be followed within the scope of the "Higher Education Institutions Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive". None of the actions specified under the title of "Actions Contrary to Scientific Research and Publication Ethics" of the aforementioned directive should be taken.
4. All responsibility that may arise in terms of avoiding all actions contrary to scientific research and publication ethics and complying with ethical principles belongs to the author(s). Plagiarism, forgery, distortion, republishing, slicing, unfair authorship, not specifying the contributions of the institutions and organizations from which support is received, the use of thesis studies that have not yet been presented or defended without the permission of their owners, surveys, etc. The author(s) are responsible for the use of the studies without the explicit consent of the participants, for the study to be carried out without obtaining the necessary permissions before starting the studies in research and experiments, and for all other violations.
5. The works submitted by the author(s) are expected to be original. If the author(s) benefit from or use other works, they are required to cite and/or cite completely and accurately.
6. Persons who do not contribute to the content intellectually in the creation of the work should not be specified as the author.
7. All studies submitted for publication should be explained, if any, that may constitute a conflict of interest and their relationships.
8. Raw data regarding their articles can be requested from the author(s) within the framework of the evaluation processes; In such a case, the author(s) should be ready to present the expected data and information to the editorial board.
9. The author(s) must have a document showing that they have the right to use the data used and the necessary permissions for the research/analysis.
10. If the author(s) notices an error or mistake regarding his/her published, early appearance, or evaluation work, he/she has an obligation to cooperate with the editor in informing, correcting or withdrawing the journal editor or publisher.
11. Authors cannot have their work in the application process of more than one journal at the same time. Each application can be started following the completion of the previous application. A study published in another journal cannot be sent to the EUROPEAN MECHANICAL SCIENCE Journal.
Referee Ethical Responsibilities
1. Referee should accept to evaluate only studies related to his field of expertise.
2. The scientific content, scientific arrangement, compliance with the principles and standards of the journal, and whether they are suitable for publication in a way that will be made available to the public and the scientific community are controlled by the referees of the studies submitted for evaluation to European Mechanical Science (EMS). Considering these issues and ethical principles, the invitation to arbitrate should be accepted/rejected.
3. Referee invitations to European Mechanical Science (EMS) and all processes are made only with the system offered by DergiPark. Referees; Editors, authors, etc. regarding the studies they were invited to evaluate. third parties by telephone, e-mail, fax, etc. If they reach or try to communicate by other means, their arbitration may be deemed invalid.
4. Researchers and/or experts invited to the European Mechanical Science (EMS) as referees are expected to complete their evaluations within the time specified in the field for referees on the journal's website, knowing that the refereeing process requires effort and should be done with sufficient time.
5. Researchers and/or experts invited to the European Mechanical Science (EMS) as referees should clearly and descriptively state the rationale for their decisions while conveying their opinions about the study requested. Keeping in mind that sloppy and sloppy assessments require a re-arbitration process, they should avoid attitudes that waste the time of all parties involved.
6. Researchers and/or experts invited as referees to European Mechanical Science (EMS) are required to keep their opinions confidential during and after the process, regardless of their opinions about the work they are evaluating.
7. It is given by the editor who takes the decision of acceptance/rejection regarding a study submitted to European Mechanical Science (EMS), taking into account the opinions of the referees, and is forwarded to the editor. However; The journal editor has the right to change the acceptance/rejection decision by justifying it, taking into account the opinions and suggestions of the referees and the answers of the authors during the evaluation process.
8. Editors for a study submitted to European Mechanical Science (EMS); should keep the content of the study confidential with third parties other than the referees and the members of the editorial board, except for legally obligatory situations.
9. It should make an evaluation with impartiality and confidentiality.
10. If he thinks that he is facing a conflict of interest during the evaluation process, the referee should refuse to review the study and inform the journal editor.
11. In accordance with the principle of confidentiality, they should destroy the studies they have examined after the evaluation process. They can only use the final versions of the studies they have reviewed after they are published.
12. Should make the evaluation objectively only in relation to the content of the study. Nationality, gender, religious beliefs, political beliefs, and commercial concerns should not be allowed to influence the evaluation.
13. Make the assessment in a constructive and courteous manner. Do not make derogatory personal comments that include hostility, slander, and insults.
14. They should perform the work they accept to evaluate on time and with the above ethical responsibilities.
Editors Ethical Responsibilities
1. All publications are judged fairly on the basis of their intellectual content, regardless of the author's gender, race, ethnicity, religion, citizenship, and political values.
2. This information about the articles is kept confidential.
3. The evaluation processes and evaluation policy of the studies submitted to European Mechanical Science (EMS) are stated on the journal's website. In this context, the appointed editors for the evaluation of work should act by adopting these explanations.
4. Editors for a study submitted to European Mechanical Science (EMS); are obliged to do what is necessary to ensure that the fair, impartial and timely evaluation process of the work is completed.

Price Policy
After submitting an article to the Journal of University Studies, a fee is charged regardless of the acceptance/rejection condition. In order to start the evaluation process of the articles sent to the journal, digital printing, typesetting, journal staff fee and layout software etc. are required. A participation fee will be requested as a contribution to the costs.
