Abstract
It is thought that the personality traits and leadership style expectations of individuals in different generations will also change, as the time period in which each generation is born differs. With this in mind, the main purpose of the study is to examine the leadership style expectations of the Z generation individuals who have grown up with technology, are not yet fully involved in business life, are gradually getting involved in business life, and are important for the 21st century business life. In this framework, in this study, the five-factor personality traits of generation Z individuals and the leadership style they want to work with will be determined, and then the relationships between the two variables will be examined. The population of the research constitutes Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University students, and the sample is the Z generation students at Bolu Vocational School. While selecting the sample, simple random sampling method was used and a questionnaire was applied to a total of 133 students. The data obtained from the students were tested with linear regression analysis. As a result of the research, it was found that the Z generation individuals would like to work with the manager with the most paternalistic leadership style and there were significant relationships between some of the personality traits sub-dimensions they had and their leadership styles.
