Turkish-Armenian relations have a long historical past. Until the First
World War, an important disagreement has not taken place between the two
communities. However, from then on, friendly relations continuing until then have
been disrupted and this situation still continues today. While this article addresses
why and by whom Turkish-Armenian relations have been harmed, it also
concentrates on what must be done for relations to be improved again.
