Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Ermenek Academy Journal is a double-blind, peer-reviewed, independent, unbiased, impartial, open-access online scientific journal. Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Ermenek Academy Journal aims to convey current developments in the fields of science, engineering, education, health and social sciences, to ensure that original studies are shared with the scientific world, and to be a platform where these developments can be discussed with their positive and negative aspects.

Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Ermenek Academy Journal is a refereed, scientific, academic, open access journal that publishes original articles, reviews, case reports and letters to the editor in the fields of science, engineering, health and social sciences. It is published twice a year (July and December). Special or additional issues may also be published when necessary. It is scanned in national and international indexes and databases. Articles to be published in the journal must be prepared in accordance with the publication policy and writing rules of Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Ermenek Academy Journal and delivered to the editorial group.

Complete all your editing on this document and do not use a different formatting. The topic selection is used to determine the referees in the article submission. Studies with a similarity rate of over 25% are not evaluated and are returned to the author. Candidate articles sent to the journal should not have been published elsewhere or sent for publication. All publishing rights of the articles accepted for publication belong to Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Ermenek Academy Journal. In the writing of the candidate article sent to Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Ermenek Academy Journal, the expression should be as simple, understandable, short and concise as possible. Statements containing judgment or certainty should definitely be based on data/references. Third person narration should be used in article writing. The latest Spelling Guide published by the Turkish Language Association should be taken as a guide during the writing process. The candidate article can be written in Turkish or English. The candidate article sent to Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Ermenek Academy Journal is first formally reviewed by the Editor and/or Assistant Editors in terms of publication policy and rules. The candidate article that is not found suitable is sent back to the author/authors for the necessary corrections to be made before moving on to the evaluation stage. The candidate article that is deemed suitable for evaluation is sent to at least two (2) referees from the relevant field for evaluation. In case of a difference of opinion between the referees about the evaluated candidate article, the candidate article is sent to a third referee. If the candidate article is sent to more than two referees, the majority opinion is taken into account. If necessary, the studies are sent back to the author/authors for correction in line with the criticisms and suggestions of the referees. The candidate articles corrected by the author/authors are reviewed by the relevant referee/referees and the editor and accepted for publication if deemed appropriate.

ETHICS AND PUBLICATION POLICY

Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Ermenek Academy Journal has adopted the development and distribution of knowledge in an impartial and respectful manner. During the publication process, it expects authors, readers, researchers, publishers, referees and editors to comply with the principles regarding ethical rules. The stakeholders in question must pay attention to the standard general and specific ethical rules and responsibilities shared below according to the open access guidelines published by the Higher Education Institutions (YÖK) and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

1.1. GENERAL ACTIONS CONTRARY TO SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND PUBLICATION ETHICS
a) Plagiarism: Presenting the ideas, methods, data, applications, writings, figures or works of others as one's own work, partially or completely, without citing them in accordance with scientific ethical rules,

b) Forgery: Producing data not based on research, editing or changing the presented or published work based on false data, reporting or publishing these, presenting a research that has not been done as if it has been done,

c) Distortion: Falsifying research records and obtained data, presenting methods, devices and materials that are not used in the research as if they were used, not evaluating data that is not in accordance with the research hypothesis, tampering with data or results to fit the relevant theory or assumptions, falsifying or shaping research results in line with the interests of persons and organizations from which support is received,

d) Duplicate Publication: Presenting more than one work containing the same results of a research as separate works in associate professorship exam evaluations and academic promotions,

e) Slicing: Presenting the results of a research as separate works in the evaluation of the research in a way that disrupts the integrity, inappropriately disassembles and presents numerous publications without citing each other as separate works in certain exam evaluations and academic incentives and promotions,

f) Unfair Authorship: Adding people who do not actively contribute to the article as authors, not including people who do actively contribute among the authors, changing the author order in an unjustified and inappropriate manner, removing the names of those who actively contribute from the work during publication or in subsequent editions, using one's influence to have one's name included among the authors even though one has not actively contributed,

g) Other Types of Ethical Violations: Not clearly stating the supporting persons, institutions or organizations and their contributions in the research in the publications of research conducted with support, not complying with ethical rules in research conducted on humans and animals, not respecting patient rights in publications, sharing information in a work that one has been assigned to review as a referee with others before publication, using resources, places, facilities and devices provided or allocated for scientific research for purposes other than intended, making completely unfounded, unfounded and intentional accusations of ethical violation (YÖK Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Directive)

1.2. RESPONSIBILITIES OF STAKEHOLDERS
a) Responsibilities of Editors
KMÜ Ermenek Akademi Journal editors and assistant editors shall fulfill the following ethical duties and responsibilities based on the principles of the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors and the COPE Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE):

Editors are responsible for every publication published in KMÜ Ermenek Akademi Journal.
Editors have the responsibility and authority to accept or reject articles. They must use this responsibility and authority appropriately and on time.
Editors should not have a conflict of interest regarding the articles they accept or reject.
Editors should accept articles that are original and contribute to the field.
Editors should reject incomplete and erroneous research that does not comply with the journal policy, publication rules and level without being influenced by anything.
Editors should allow for incorrect, incomplete and problematic articles to be withdrawn before or after the referee report or to be published after correction.

Editors ensure that articles evaluated by at least two referees are evaluated according to the double-blind peer review system and keep the referees confidential.
Editors continue their work processes without compromising intellectual property rights and ethical standards.
Editors take responsibility for the plagiarism status of articles and whether they are unpublished original research through the "Turnitin and/or ithenticate" plagiarism program.
Editors take into account the knowledge, skills and experiences needed by all readers, researchers and practitioners.
Editors take care that the published issues contribute to the reader, researcher, practitioner and scientific field and are original in nature.
Editors ensure that all advisory committee members proceed with the processes in accordance with the publication policies and guidelines.
Editors inform the advisory board members about the publication policies.
Editors ensure that the advisory board members evaluate their work independently.
Editors can contribute to new advisory board members and make decisions accordingly.

Editors should submit studies that are in line with the expertise of advisory board members for evaluation.
Editors regularly interact with the advisory board.
The relationship between Editors (Editor and Associate Editors) and the publisher is based on the principle of editorial independence. According to the written agreement between the Editors and the publisher, all decisions of the editors are independent of the publisher and the journal owner.
Editors and Associate Editors cannot publish more than four (4) publications of their own in the KMÜ Ermenek Academy Journal.
b) Authors' Responsibilities
The studies submitted by the author(s) are expected to be original. In cases where the author(s) benefit from or use other studies, they must refer to and/or quote them completely and correctly.
People who do not contribute intellectually to the content of the study should not be listed as authors.
Any conflicts of interest and relationships that may arise from all studies submitted for publication should be disclosed.
Authors may be asked for raw data regarding their articles within the scope of the evaluation process. In such a case, the author(s) must be ready to present the expected data and information to the editorial board and scientific board.

Author(s) must have a document showing that they have the rights to use the data used, the necessary permissions for the research/analysis, or that the consent of the experimental subjects has been obtained.

In the event that the author(s) notice a mistake or error regarding their published, early appearance or evaluation stage work, they are obliged to inform the journal editor or publisher, and cooperate with the editor in the correction or withdrawal processes.
Authors cannot have their work in the application process of more than one journal at the same time. Each application can be started following the completion of the previous application. A study published in another journal cannot be sent to us.
Changing the author responsibilities of a study whose evaluation process has started (such as adding an author, changing the order of authors, removing authors) cannot be proposed.

c) Responsibilities of Referees
Our journal management is committed to successfully conducting and improving the refereeing process within the framework of ethical publishing rules. It welcomes the stakeholders and readers of the research to report any plagiarism, duplicate publication, inaccuracy, suspicious content or situations they see in the reviews published in Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Ermenek Academy Journal to the email address ermenekakademi@kmu.edu.tr. It reports the data and results obtained on the subject to the relevant parties and follows up. It is based on the referees' compliance with the following principles.

Evaluations should be made impartially.
There should be no conflict of interest between the referees and the stakeholders of the article under evaluation.
It should indicate the completion of other articles, works, sources, references, rules and similar deficiencies related to the article.
The articles evaluated based on the double-blind refereeing system or their referees are not disclosed.

1.3. PLAGIARISM POLICY
Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Ermenek Academy Journal has started to check the studies sent for publication as of ***** 20** through plagiarism programs (Turnitin, iThenticate or İntihal.net). Studies with a plagiarism rate above 25% are not evaluated and are returned to the author. If a study published in the journal is found to be plagiarized, the Editorial Board withdraws the article and initiates the necessary procedures.

1.4. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
Editors ensure the protection of personal data regarding the subjects or images included in the evaluated study. Contributors to the journal (editors, authors and referees) are provided with documents showing their contributions upon request.

1.5. ETHICS COMMITTEE, HUMAN AND ANIMAL RIGHTS
Editors ensure the protection of human and animal rights in the evaluated studies. Editors have the responsibility to reject a study when there is no permission from the ethics committee for the subjects used in the study and no permission for experimental research. In studies requiring ethics committee approval, information about the permission (name of the committee, date and number) should be included in the method section and also on the first/last page of the article. In case reports, information about the signed informed consent/consent form should be included in the article.

1.6. POSSIBLE MISCONDUCT AND MISCONDUCT PRECAUTIONS
Editors take precautions against possible misconduct and misconduct. In addition to conducting a meticulous and objective investigation regarding the detection and evaluation of complaints regarding this situation, the editor's responsibilities include sharing the findings on the subject with the competent authorities.

1.7. PROVIDING ACADEMIC PUBLICATION INTEGRITY
Editors ensure that errors, inconsistencies or misleading decisions in the works are promptly corrected.

1.8. PROTECTION OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
Editors are responsible for protecting the intellectual property rights of all published articles and defending the rights of the journal and the author in the event of any possible violations, and taking the necessary precautions to ensure that the content of all published articles does not infringe the intellectual property rights of other publications.

1.9. CONSTRUCTIVITY AND OPENNESS TO DISCUSSION
Editors take into consideration any criticisms made against the works published in the journal and exhibit a constructive attitude towards these criticisms in line with the purpose and scope of the journal. The authors of the works criticized have the right to respond. Studies containing negative results are rejected.

1.10. COMPLAINTS
Editors are obliged to carefully review complaints and respond to authors, referees or readers in an enlightening and explanatory manner.

1.11. POLITICAL AND COMMERCIAL CONCERNS
The owner of the journal, the publisher and no other political or commercial element can influence the independent decisions of the editors.

1.12. CONFLICTS OF INTEREST
Editors guarantee and ensure to authors and referees that the publication process of the journal will be carried out independently and impartially.

2.2. OPEN ACCESS POLICY
Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Ermenek Academy Journal provides open access for the continuous and free use of its content in order to increase the global exchange of knowledge and to produce beneficial results for humanity. In this context, all articles published in the journal are open to access at https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/*****/archive. Articles published in KMÜ Ermenek Academy Journal are licensed with the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC). Commercial use of the content is prohibited. Articles in the journal can be used as long as the author and the original source are cited.

2.3. FEES POLICY
Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Ermenek Academy Journal does not charge any fees for any stage of the articles including submission, evaluation and publication. Authors do not pay article processing fees for the works they send to the journal.

2.4. ARTICLE EVALUATION PROCESS
Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Ermenek Academy Journal is published as an e-journal twice a year, in June and December. All articles are published collectively in an issue with its own table of contents.

Articles are written in accordance with the writing rules of KMÜ Ermenek Academy Journal and uploaded to the journal system by the responsible author.
The received article is delivered to the editor after the form review by KMÜ Ermenek Academy Journal assistant editors (2-5 days).
The article reviewed and deemed appropriate by the editor is forwarded to the relevant referees according to its subject (5-10 days).
The article deemed appropriate for evaluation is sent to at least two (2) referees from the relevant field. In case of disagreement among the referees on the evaluated article, the article is sent to a third referee.

If the article is sent to more than two referees, the majority opinion is taken into account.
Authors are informed according to the referee reports (within 1 month at the latest).
Articles for which correction is requested must be corrected and returned within 1 month at the latest in accordance with the reports.
If two referees accept the article, it is published in the following issue.
The publication decision process is concluded within 1-2 months after an article is sent to KMÜ Ermenek Academy Journal.
