COMPLEMENTARY AND ALTERNATIVE THERAPIES IN MENOPAUSE SYMPTOMS

Year 2020, Volume: 3 Issue: 2, 134 - 142, 01.09.2020

Abstract

Menopause is associated with symptoms such as hot flashes, sleep problems, psychological disorders, sexual dysfunction, weight gain and reduced cognitive functioning. In the management of these symptoms, women fear that the risk of cancer will increase; Because of concerns about side effects such as breast tenderness, headache and uterine bleeding, they tend to be more complementary and alternative to hormone therapy. Complementary and alternative therapies have been used worldwide for thousands of years. However, not all complementary and alternative interventions are effective and safe. It is important for healthcare professionals to be aware of the risks and benefits of these preferred practices for menopausal symptoms. This article aims to provide information about complementary and alternative therapy approaches that women frequently resort to for menopausal symptoms.

MENOPOZ SEMPTOMLARINDA TAMAMLAYICI VE ALTERNATİF TEDAVİLER

Year 2020, Volume: 3 Issue: 2, 134 - 142, 01.09.2020
