Abstract
Recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN) injury is one of the most feared situations during thyroidectomy, and may result in different morbidities from mild voice changes to life-threatening respiratory distress. One of the reasons for this complication is that the RLN may have many anatomical variations. Among those, double RLN is an extremely rare anatomical variation with limited number of reported cases in the literature. A complete visualization of RLN should be mandatory during thyroidectomy to assess the anatomical abnormalities. All surgeons should have sufficient knowledge of anatomical variations of RLN, including double RLN. Herein, a rare case of left double RLN in a female patient who underwent thyroidectomy for multinodular goiter was presented.

Abstract
Rekürren laringeal sinir (RLS) yaralanması tiroidektomi sırasında en çok korkulan durumlardan biridir ve hafif ses değişikliklerinden yaşamı tehdit eden solunum sıkıntısına kadar farklı morbiditelere neden olabilir. Bu komplikasyonun nedenlerinden biri RLS' in birçok anatomik varyasyona sahip olabilmesidir. Bunlar arasında, çift RLS literatürde bildirilmiş sınırlı sayıda vaka ile son derece nadir bir anatomik varyasyondur. Anatomik anormallikleri değerlendirmek için tiroidektomi sırasında RLS' in tam olarak ortaya konması zorunlu olmalıdır. Cerrahlar, çift RLS dahil, RLS' in tüm anatomik varyasyonları hakkında yeterli bilgiye sahip olmalıdır. Burada, multinodüler guatr nedeniyle tiroidektomi yapılan bir kadın hastada nadir görülen sol çift RLS olgusu sunuldu.
