Abstract

Bill Leadbetter tarafından yazılan ve 2009 yılında Taylor & Francis Group tarafından yayınlanan “Galerius and The Will of Diocletian” isimli eser bu çalışmanın inceleme konusudur. Eser, Tetrarchia Dönemi’ni, dönemin önemli siyasi figürü olan Caesar Galerius perspektifinden ele almakta ve Galerius’un augustusluk dönemini de tartışmaktadır. Tetrarchia Dönemi’ne dair yazılan eserler arasında odak noktası bir caesar olan ilk kitap olması, akademik bir üslupla yazılması ve yeni yaklaşımlar sunması eseri kıymetli kılmaktadır.

Abstract

The work titled “Galerius and The Will of Diocletian” written by Bill Leadbetter and published by Taylor & Francis Group in 2009 is the subject of this study. The book discusses the Tetrarchia Period from the perspective of Caesar Galerius, the important political figure of the period, and also discusses Galerius’ period as augustus. Among the studies written on the Tetrarchia Period, being the first book to focus on a Caesar, being written in an academic style and offering new approaches makes the work valuable.
