KÖPEKLERDE LOKAL ATROPİN UYGULAMASININ GÖZYAŞI SEKRESYONU ÜZERİNE ETKİSİNİN DENEYSEL OLARAK ARAŞTIRILMASI

Abstract

Araştırma veteriner cerrahide birçok göz hastalıklarının tedavisinde ve anestezi öncesi premedikasyon amacıyla
sık kullanılan atropin'in,gözde kısa ve uzun süreli lokal kullanımının gözyaşı sakresyonu üzerindeki etkisini belirlemek
amacıyla yapıldı. Araştırmada 8 adet sağlıklı köpek kullanı dı.K sa süreli lokal atropin kullanımının,gözyaşı sakresyonu
üzerindeki etkisini belirlemek amacıyla;hayvanlarda sağ ve sol.gözün normal gözyaşı miktarları Schirmer test sıripleri
ve Schirmer ı gözyaşı test yöntemi ile belirlendikten sonra, sağ göze %1 'lik atropin sülfat solüsyonundan bir damla
damlatıldı.Damlatmadan sonraki 15,30,60,90,120,240,360 ve 480. dakikalarda sağ ve sol gözün gözyaşı miktarları öl-
çüldü.Aynı hayvanıarda,atropin sülfat'ın uzun süreli lokal kullan m etkilerini belirlemek amacıyla,bir hafta süreyle her.
gün sabahları sağ göze bir damla aynı solüsyondan damlatıldıktan sonra,aynı zaman aralıklarında gözyaşı miktarları
ölçüldü.ilaç uygulaması kesildikten sonra,bir hafta süreyle sağ ve sol gözün gözyaşı miktarları,sabah ve akşam yapı­
lan ölçümlerle belirlendi. Atropin sülfat'ın,kısa' süreli kullanı ğında,sağ gözde 90.dakikada gözyaşı miktarında %34 oranında
azalmaya neden olduğu ; 240.dakikadan sonra gözyaşının normal değerlere ulaşma a başladığı gözlendi. Sol
gözde ise 60.dakikada gözyaşı sakresyonunun %22.7 oranında azaldığı,90.dakikadan sonra normal değe le e laştığı
belirlendi.Atropin sülfat'ın uzun süreli lokal kullanımında,ilaç uygulamasına son verildikten sonraki bir haftalık sü-
rede,gözyaşı sakresyonunda istatistiksel olarak önemli farklılıklar gösteren artışlar olduğu tespit edildi.

An Experimental Study on the Effect of Topicafly Used Atropine on Tear Production of Dogs

Abstract

The study was undertakan to determine the effects of short and long-term local administration of atropine.which
is frequently used for treatment of various eye diseases and preanaesthetic medication,on tear production.Eight
healty mongrel dogs were used in the study.To observe the short-term effects of local atropine administration.the
dogs have taken one drop of 1% atropine sulphate solution on the right eye after obtaining the normal
lacrimal secrete amount of right and left eyes by Schirmer 1 tear test and the tear values of each eyes were measured
at 15,30,60,90,120,240,360 and 480 minutes intervals by same methode.To confirme the long-term effects of atropine,the
same animals have taken one drop of atropine solution on the right eye every morning and Schirmer ı tear
test values of each eyes were measured for seven days.After the completion of drug administration,measurements of
each eyes were continued two times per day for seven days. The short-term use of atropine was resulted in a decrease
of right eye tear production on an average of 34% after 90 minules and approached to normal values after 240
minutes meanwhile the left one had a decrease on an average of 22.7% after 60 minutes and reached to beginning
valuesafter 90 minutes.ln the ıong-term use of atropine, an increase of tear production was confirmed and found conspicuous
statistically in the course of seven days alter the completion of drug administration.
