Abstract
A swn of 86 blood sera of sheep were collected
from Konya Livestock Research Centre. The blood sera
were examined to detennine the presence of neutralizing antibodies
to BTV (Bluetongue Virus), type SA4 by microneutralization
test. BHK (Baby Hamster Kidney) permanent eeliline
was used for production and titration of BTV and neutralisation
test. Glascow Eagle's MEM (Minimum Essential Medium)
with ıo % calf sera for cell medium and Glascow Eagle's
MEM without sera for virus medium were used in this research.
The blood sera were tested at the rate of ı/ı O dil u tion.
At the end of the microneutralization test, the 3ı (36.04 %)
sheep blood were found seropozitive to BTV, type SA4 .

Tanm Orman ve Köyişleri Bakanlığına
bağlı Konya Merkez Hayvancılık Araştırma Enstitüsünde
bulunan toplam 86 adet koyundan kan seromu numuneleri
toplanmıştır. Alınan kan serumlan koyun Mavi
Dil virusunun SA4 tipine karşı, nötralizan antikor
varlığını saptamak amacıyla mikronötralizasyon metoduyla
test edilmiştir. Mavi Dil virusunun üretilmesi, titrasyonu
ve nötralizasyon testlerinde, BHK (Baby Hamster Kidney:
Yavru Hamster Böbrek Epitel Hücresi) devamlı hücre
kültürü kullanılmıştır. Hücre üretme vasatı olarak %
10 inaktif dana serumlu Glascow Eagle's MEM, virus üretme
vasatı olarak serumsuz Glascow Eagle's MEM vasatı kullanılmıştır.
Koyun kan serwnlan, 1/10 sulaiı.dırma
oranında teste alınmıştır. Mikronöralizasyon testi sonunda,
86 adet serumun 3ı adedinde (% 36.04) Mavi Dil virusuna
karşı, pozitif nötralizan antikor varlığı tespit edilmiştir.
