Dijital Feminizm: Hashtag’in Cinsiyeti

Abstract

Dijital dünyanın yeniliklerinden feminist çalışmalar da etkilenmiştir. Feminizmin dijitalde de

tartışılabilir hale gelmesiyle, bireyler kadın hak ve sorunları ile ilgili yorum paylaşıp görüşlerini

aktarmaktadır. Araştırmanın ilk temeli, sosyal medyada feminizmle ilgili içerikler gözlemlendiğinde

ortaya atılmıştır. Görülmüştür ki, feminizm algısı hala doğru yerleşmemiştir. Bu araştırmada, sosyal

medyada feminizm üzerine geliştirilen hashtag ve yorumlardan yola çıkılmıştır. Temelde, Türkiye’de

feminizmin sosyal medyada nasıl tanımlandığını ve feminizm hareketiyle ilgili oluşmuş baskın içerik ve

söylemi, “hashtag”ler üzerinden ölçmek amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada sanal platformlar arasında popüler

olan “Ekşisözlük”te, “feminizm” ve “feminist” hashtagleri ile açılan konu başlıkları araştırılmış;

içerik analizi yapıldıktan sonra içeriklerden söylem tipolojileri oluşturulmuştur. İlgili konu başlıklarına

yapılan tanımların yüksek oranda cinsellik ve şiddet içerikli olduğu, sözlük tanımların çoğunda

“feminizm” ve “feminist” terimlerinin negatif olarak algılandığı, ilgili hashtag’lerin bile toplumsal

cinsiyet ve roller açısından aşağılanıp değersizleştiği görülmüş, hashtagler altındaki yorumlarda

feminizmin Türkiye’de şiddet ve cinsellikten ibaret bir kadın görüşü olarak algılandığı saptanmıştır.
