In the first chapter, it is claimed that Cypriot Turkish is a part of dialectical composition of Anatolian Turkish and therefore, it should be shown in the Atlas of Anatolian Tukish Dialects. The author lists all vowel changes comparing them vith vowel structurcs of the Sandard Turkish and some times vith those of Anatolian Dialects. As a rcsult he puts forward a general picture of vowels in Cypriot Turkish. Samples of analysis are taken from among native and loan vocabularies while previous studies in the field are made use of.
