Abstract
Bu çalışmada
1960’lı yılların başlangıcında Galaktik Ağ kavramı ile ortaya çıkan İnternetin,
saniyede 10 GB veri transferi anlamına gelen ve yeni kuşak internet olarak nitelenen
‘ultra-hızlı’ Internet2 ağına kadar olan gelişimi 47 yıllık bir süreçte ele
alınmıştır. 128 bitlik adresleme özelliğine sahip Ipv6 protokolünün geleceğin
internet alt yapısında kullanılması ve internet ile beraber 2015 yılına kadar
gerçekleştirilmesi beklenen tek-nolojik tahminler sunulmuştur.
