In recent years, the concept of social capital is attracting a great deal of attention from all social science disciplines. This concept is basically defined as features of social organizationl such as norms, networks and trust that facilitate cooperation and coordination for mutual benefit. This study surveys and discusses issues related to the concept of social capital, including its definitions, types, levels, components, measurements and impacts.
