URBAN OPERATIONS UNDER SECURITY APPROACHES PERSPECTIVE
Abstract
The effectiveness of technology that provides
a superiority to the powerful side requires the powerless side to apply new
techniques to balance the struggle. The powerless side aiming to create
asymmetric effect, arises as a threat ambigious for where, when, how and on the
part of who sides,arises as an ambigious threat which is not certain where,
when and how it will ocur and by whom it will be carried out by intermingling
into population and abusing human rights and democracy conceptions in front of
media and these types of treats are named as hybrid threat. The asymmetric effect originated by hybrid
threats, shifts its conflict zone from rural to cities conjunction with the
population growth from rural to urban. Urban warfare, urban operations, close
quarter conflict in urban areas are the issues that will be perminently remain
on the agenda of 21st century’s struggle core. The threat’s alteration directly
influences the security policies and campaign.The terrorist acts performed in
the urban area’s concentrated populace towards questioning the legitimacy of
state, requires the development of security forces’ capability and ability.. It
isn’t solely enough with the tactical
methods to prevent the faults on tactical operational environment that can stir
up strategic effect. About the conflict taking place in front of media, public
opinion should be moled with a presentation of integrated approach afterwards
the startegic target can be reached. The purpose of this study is raising awareness of abilities gained especially
within the scope of concept,
organization, leadership, training,
equipment and training facilities associated with conversion of threat.
