GEOSOUND adheres to ethical principles in accepting and publishing articles. As part of this process, manuscripts are initially checked for plagiarism using Turnitin software. Manuscripts with more than 30% similarity or overlapping content with other publications without proper citation are not processed for peer review.
GEOSOUND aims to convey current scientific and technical advancements in geosciences to researchers and engineers. The journal covers theoretical/experimental and application-oriented studies related to geosciences. GEOSOUND accepts original and up-to-date scientific research and applications that have not been published elsewhere. Translations are not accepted. Articles can be in Turkish or English. Submissions, whether published or not, are not returned. The authority to publish articles lies with the editorial board.
The entire manuscript must be prepared digitally, in two copies (one without author names and affiliations) following the template provided on the journal’s website, and submitted electronically or via email. GEOSOUND is an open-access journal, and no fees are charged to authors for publication.
The decision to publish submitted articles is made by the Editor and the Editorial Board. They are bound by legal requirements concerning defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The Editor and the Editorial Board evaluate submissions impartially, free from ethnic, gender, religious, or political bias, and ensure that reviewers remain anonymous to authors. The information and ideas presented in submissions are kept confidential and are not used for personal gain.
