Clinical Significance of the Relationship Between Infertility and Psychological Stress

Abstract

It is important that infertility treatment protocols be implemented within a multidisciplinary program that incorporates not only biomedical approaches but also psychosocial support. Periodic psychological assessments and, when necessary, psychological interventions in clinical practice support the overall health of both women and men in the management of infertility. Through this letter, I hope that psychological stress should not be overlooked in coping with infertility, that the stress-fertility relationship be addressed more thoroughly in both research and clinical practice, and that the resulting knowledge be strengthened by integrating it into treatment processes.

İnfertilite ve Psikolojik Stres Arasındaki İlişkinin Klinik Önemi

Abstract

İnfertilite tedavi protokollerinin, sadece biyomedikal yaklaşımlarla değil, aynı zamanda psikososyal desteği de içeren multidisipliner bir program ile yürütülmesi önemlidir. Klinik uygulamalarda arar ara yapılacak psikolojik değerlendirmeler ve gerekli hallerde uygulanacak psikolojik müdahaleler, infertilite sürecinin yönetiminde hem kadın hem erkek bireylerin genel sağlığını desteklemektedir. Bu mektup aracılığıyla, infertilite ile baş etmede psikolojik stresin göz ardı edilmemesi, bu konunun hem araştırma alanında, hem klinik uygulamalarda, stres-fertilite ilişkisinin daha detaylı bir şekilde ele alınması ve elde edilen bilginin tedavi süreçlerine entegre edilerek güçlendirilmesini temenni ederim.
