Öz

Brain death is the complete and irreversible loss of all brain functions, including the brainstem. Prerequisites must be met before diagnosis of brain death. The three findings in brain death are unresponsive deep coma, loss of all brainstem reflexes and apnea

Öz

Beyin ölümü, beyin sapı dahil olmak üzere tüm beyin fonksiyonlarının tam ve geri dönüşümsüz kaybıdır. Beyin ölümü tanısı konulmadan önce ön koşullar sağlanmalıdır. Beyin ölümünün üç temel bulgusu vardır; Bunlar derin koma, tüm beyin sapı reflekslerinin kaybı ve spontan solunumun olmayışıdır.
