A Rare Cause Of Ketoacidosis: Pilonidal Sinus

Pilonidal sinus is an infectious source that can only be diagnosed by detail physical examination and whose symptoms are mostly obscure, simple and easily overlooked. Pilonidal sinus rarely leads to systemic symptoms because it is a local infection and is mostly limited to the skin and subcutaneous tissues. In this case presentation, a 34-year old DKA case presenting to the emergency service with complaints of nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain and found to have pilonidal sinus with abscess formation in physical examination will be discussed.
