Abstract

Lactation is production and secretion of breast milk. It is a known fact that breast milk is unique nutrient for babies to support the development of the baby properly. It is important that there should be no breastfeeding gap in order to continue breastfeed newborns and gradually increase the breastfeeding rates. Breastfeeding can be restarted (relactation) in cases of insufficient milk production, baby's rejection of breast-feeding, breast problems, diseases in infants and mothers, and mental changes in mothers experiencing breastfeeding and adaptation problems. This article was written to emphasize the importance of uninterrupted breastfeeding or relactation for the health of the newborn

Emzirmenin Yeniden Başlatılması: Relaktasyon

Abstract

Laktasyon, anne sütünün yapımı ve salınımı sürecidir. Anne sütünün bebek gelişimini tam olarak destekleyecek özelliklere sahip ve bebekler için eşsiz bir besin maddesi olduğu, bilinen bir gerçektir. Yenidoğanların emzirilmesinin devam edilmesi ve emzirme oranların giderek arttırılmasını amaçlamak için emzirmenin kesintiye uğratılmaması önemlidir. Emzirme ve adaptasyon durumlarında sıkıntı yaşayan annelerdeki mental değişimler, yetersiz süt üretimi, bebek tarafından emzirmenin reddedilmesi, meme problemleri, anne ve bebekte devam eden hastalıklar gibi durumlarda yeniden emzirme (relaktasyon) başlatılabilir. Yenidoğan sağlığı için emzirmenin kesintiye uğramaması veya emzirmenin yeniden başlatılmasının önemini vurgulamak amacıyla bu derleme yazılmış
