Abstract

Most of rural settlements are unplanned settlements and exposed to natural disaster. The main natural disasters causing to economical losses and loss of life in the settlements, are earthquake, avalanche, flooding and inrush of water. The effects of natural disasters, losses caused by it and precautions taken to minimize the losses were investigated in this study

Kırsal Yerleşimler ve Doğal Afetler

Abstract

Ülkemizde kırsal yerleşimlerin büyük çoğunluğu plansız yerleşimler şeklinde ve her an doğal afetlerin etkisi altındadır. Yerleşim yerlerini etkileyen doğal afetlerin başlıcaları; deprem, çığ, sel ve su baskınları olup birçok mal ve can kaybına neden olabilmektedir. Bu makalede, kırsal yerleşimlerin planlanmasında doğal afetlerin etkileri, oluşturabileceği zararlar ve bu zararları en az düzeye indirebilmek için alınması gereken önlemler ele alınmıştır.
