Characterization of Dry Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L, ) Germplasm of Turkey: I.Some Morphological and Phenoiogical Characteristics

Abstract

This study aimed to determine some morphological and phenoiogical characteristics of dry bean germplasm of Turkey. The field researchs were done at Tokat Ecological conditions during vegetation period in İ996. The experiment was arranged in compelete randomized blocks with 4 replications, fifty six dry bean genotypes obtained from Germplasm Collection at Agean Agricultural Research Institute were used. The number of indeterminate genotypes was 41, the number of determinate genotypes 15, the number of genotypes that did not scatter seed 33. the number of genotypes that scatter seed 18, and there were 6 different seed shape groups.The height of seed ranged from 9.20 to 19.40 mm, the thickness of the seeds from 4,35 to 8,54 mm, and the legnth of the seeds from 6.27 to 11,99 mm. The flowering period ranged from 22.75 to 50,50 days and that of vegetation from İ 08.50 to 146.00 days.

Türkiye Kuru Fasulye (Phaseolus vulgaris L,) Gen Kaynaklarının Karakterizasyonu: I. Bazı Morfolojik ve Fenolojik Özellikleri

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Türkiye kuru fasulye gen kaynaklarının bazı morfolojik ve fenolojik özelliklerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır, Taria çalışmaları, 1996 yıh vejetasyon döneminde Tokat Ekolojik şartlarında yapılmıştır. Deneme Tesadüf Blokları deneme deseninde 4 tekerrürlii olarak düzenlenmiştir. Çalışmada Ege Tarımsa! Araştırma Enstitüsü Gen Bankası Kolleksiyoniarmdan sağlanan 56 adet kuru fasulye genotipi kullanılmıştır. Denemede genotipierin 41 tanesinin sarılıcı ve 15 tanesinin bodur formda olduğu, 33 tanesinin tane dökmediği ve 18 tanesinin çok fazla tane döktüğü belirlenmiş ve tane şekli olarak 6 farklı grup oluşmuştur. Genotipierin tane boyları 9.20-19.40 mm, tane kalınlıkları 4.35-8,54 mm ve tane genişlikleri 6.27-11.99 mm arasında değişmiştir. Çiçeklenme peryotları 22.75-50.50 gün ve vejetasyon süreleri ise 108.50-146.00 gün arasında değişmiştir.
