The effects of Tonifruit plant growth regulator on the yield and earlines of some important eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) varieties in Tokat.

Abstract

It was determined of the effects of plant growth regulator (PGR) named the Tonifruit, on the yield and earlines of some important eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) varieties (Topan 374, Kemer and Pala) in Tokat. The seeds of these varieties were sown to the plastic tubes in the high plastic tunnel on the date 18th March of 1989. In the flaver stage the levels of PGR as 0. 0.3. 0.6, 0.9 g/L were treated at three times with interval of 10 days. The PGR hasn’t effected the total yield, earlines, fruit size and dimenslans. At the level of 0.9 g/L high mates of the light color fruits were occured as 24% in Pala variety and 19% in Topan 374. Fruit shape of Topan 374 variety has round and the total yield of this variety was found 18.37 t/ha. The total yield of Kemer was found 15-45 t/ha and the total yield of Pala variety was found 21.11 t/ha. So that Pala variety has highest total yield which maybe recommeded the growing instead of Kemer variety İn Tokat.

Tokat Koşullarında Tonifruit Hormonunun Bazı Önemli Patlıcan (Solanum Melongena L.) Çeşitlerinin Verim Ve Erkenclliğl Üzerinde Araştırmalar

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Tokat ekolojisine uyum sağlayacağı tahmin edilen Topan 374, Pala (Yalo¬va 49) "ve Kemer Patlıcan çeşitlerinin adaptasyonu ve Tonifruit hormonunun bu çeşitlerin verim ve erkenciliği üzerinde etkilerinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Patlıcan çeşitlerinin verimi erkenciliği, meyve iriliği ve boyutlarına Tonifruit hormonu-nun etkisi olmamıştır. Topan 374 çeşidi, meyvesinin yuvarlak olması nedeniyle ayrı bir grup oluşturmaktadır. Toplam verimi 19.37 t/ha dır. Kemer çeşidinde toplam verim 15.45 t/ha ve Pala çeşidinde ise 21.11 t/ha olarak tesbit edilmiştir. Tokat yöresinde, en yüksek verime sahip olan Pala patlıcan çeşidinin, Kemer çeşidi ye-rine yetiştirilmesi uygun görülmüştür. Tonifruit hormonu ise yeni bir hormon olup, düşük dozlarda ve,sık periyotlarla uygula-narak denenmesi yararlı olabilir.;
