AN EVALUATION OF NATURAL LIGHT DISTRIBUTION IN SPACES WITH LIGHTED DOME
Abstract
Light gives a distinctive characteristic to the spaces with lighted dome. In this study, "the lighted dome" has been handled in a holistic view with its form, meaning and the space-light effect. In order to understand the effect of light in spaces have lighted domes and to make interpretations with an analytical method, a number of analyzes were performed with the programs used. The analysis presents the features that light provides to the spaces and the semantic dimension that is added or the reason for building, while it's thought that the lighted dome has a special place in Turkish architecture.
