Abstract

The Place of Female Tābiʿīn Rāwīs in the Science of Ḥadīth

Abstract

The Tābiī period has an important role in the formation of the science of hadīth. The main purpose of this thesis is to identify the names of the female hadith narrators of the Tābiī period and bring their narrations together, thus revealing their contributions to the science of hadīth by making these names known between the lines. In this context, the narrations of the female narrators of the tābiī period in the Kitāb al-Sitta were identified and brought together, their subject distributions were determined, their repetitions were identified, and the opportunities of women to access and transmit the narrations were examined. The thesis consists of an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. In the introduction, the role of women in hadith narration is emphasized. Through the literature review, 107 names of tābiī women narrators and 609 narrations were identified. The large number of numbers obtained necessitated grouping the data. In the first section, there are 6 tābiī female narrators with more than 30 narrations, in the second section, there are 27 tābiī female narrators with 3 to 30 narrations, and in the third section, there are 74 tābiī female narrators with less than three narrations.

Kadın Tâbiî Râvilerin Hadis İlmindeki Yeri

Abstract

Tâbiî dönemi hadis ilminin oluşumunda önemli bir role sahiptir. Tezin temel amacı tâbiî döneminin kadın râvilerinin isimlerini tespit ederek rivâyetlerini bir araya getirmek ve böylece satır aralarında kalan bu isimlerin bilinirliğini sağlayarak râvilerin hadis ilmine katkılarını ortaya koymaktır. Bu bağlamda Kütüb-i Sitte’deki tâbiî kadın râvilerin rivâyetleri tespit edilerek bir araya getirilmiş, konu dağılımları çıkarılmış, tekrarları saptanmış, kadınların rivâyetlere ulaşma ve onları aktarma imkânları incelenmiştir. Veriler ortaya koyulduktan sonra bir bütün olarak rivâyetleri anlama ve yorumlama çalışması yapılmıştır. Tez giriş, üç bölüm ve sonuçtan oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde kadınların hadis rivâyetindeki rolü üzerinde durulmuştur. Yapılan literatür taramasıyla 107 tâbiî kadın râvi ismi tespit edilmiş ve onlardan nakledilen 609 rivâyete ulaşılmıştır. Elde edilen rakamların çokluğu, verileri gruplandırmayı gerektirmiştir. Bu sebeple râviler rivâyet sayısına göre tasnif edilmiştir. Birinci bölümde rivâyet sayısı 30’dan fazla olan 6 tâbiî kadın râvi, ikinci bölümde rivâyet sayısı 3-30 arası olan 27 tâbiî kadın râvi, üçüncü bölümde rivâyet sayısı üçten az olan 74 tâbiî kadın râviye yer verilmiştir.
