• Articles submitted to the Hakkari Journal of Theology for publication (excluding images, figures, tables, maps, bibliographies, and other such materials) should be between 5,000 and 10,000 words in length. For book reviews, the minimum length is 1,500 words and the maximum is 2,000 words.
• Articles submitted to the Hakkari Theology Journal must be prepared in Microsoft Office Word, with the main text in Gentium Plus font, 12-point size, and 1.5 line spacing; footnotes must be in the same font, 10-point size, and single-spaced; paragraph indents must be 1.25 cm from the left margin, and the file must be saved in .doc or .docx format. Margins must be set to 2.5 cm on all sides of the page.
For articles submitted in Arabic, the Calibri font must be used. The text font size should be 12, and the footnote font size should be 10.
• The submitted article must include a Turkish and English abstract (250–350 words), the article title, and 5–8 keywords.
• The abstract should describe the article’s methodology, main objective, and findings; it should not merely summarize the introduction and conclusion of the article.
Headings, Footnotes, and References
• Citations and notes must be provided using a footnote system at the bottom of the page.
• In footnotes, if a source from a previous footnote is referenced again, abbreviations such as “a.g.e.” (meaning “the aforementioned work”) should not be used; instead, the abbreviated title of the work must be recorded.
* The manuscript submitted to the journal must not include the author’s name; information regarding the author should be included on the title page and uploaded to the system along with the manuscript.

Other Important Considerations During the Article Submission Process
• If the manuscript is derived from a thesis, a project, or has been presented as a conference paper, this must be clearly stated on the first page of the article.
• For multi-authored works, authors must submit a statement of contribution and a conflict of interest declaration during the submission process. For works derived from graduate theses, the author with the highest contribution must be a student.
• During the submission process, if the work has received support from any institution, organization, or funding source, this support must be clearly stated. Additionally, if there are individuals, institutions, or organizations to be acknowledged, the relevant information must be clearly included in the article file.
• If AI-based tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly, etc.) were used during the article production process, the specific stages in which they were utilized must be clearly stated. This information must be provided during the article submission process. All responsibility regarding the use of AI rests with the authors.
• The legal responsibility for articles published in the journal rests with the authors.
