Abstract

Peygamberler şehri olan Kudüs, Yahudiler ve
Hıristiyanlar için olduğu kadar, Müslümanlar için
de kutsal bir şehirdir. Kur 'an 'da Mescid-i Aksa
olarak zikredilen şehir Müslümanların ilk kıblesi
idi ve hadis geleneği içerisinde önemli bir yer
almıştı. Ecnadeyn ve Yermuk savaşlarından sonra
kuşatma altına alınan şehir, diğer Filistin ve Suriye
şehirleri gibi ahidname ile teslim o!muştur. Halife
Ömer bizzat Kudüs 'e gelerek şehri teslim almıştır.
ahidname, Hıristiyan ve Yahudilerin can, mal,
namus, kilise ve ibadet hürriyetlerini teminat altına
alıyordu. Kudüs kutsal bir şehir olmanın
üstünlüğünü üzerinde yaşayanlara pahalıya
ödetmiş bir şehirdir. Yahudi ve Haçlı hakimiyetleri
ile Memluk-Osmanlı sürecindeki İslam hakimiyeti
bunu göstermektedir. Bugün de Kudüs 'ün statüsü
konusunda uluslararası platformlarda Osmanlı
modelinin konuşulması dikkat çekicidir.

The Conquest of Jerusalem of the Muslims

Abstract

Jerusalem, as a city of prophets, is a holy place
for müslim people as much as it is for jewish and
christians. Jerusalem which is known as Mascid-i
Aksa was the first kıbla for müslims and it w as alsa
an important place in the hadith tradition.
Like other Syria and Palestina cities, after the
wars of Acnadayn and Yermuk. Jerusalem was
captured and then surrendered with a pact. Due to
holiness it was specially taken over by Caliph
Omar himself The pact quarented to protect the
life, property, integrity, churce and all the places
open to worship.
Becaus of its holy privilege, Jerusalem has
costed many life to the people who live in. This is
obvious from the comparison of sovereignties of
jewish and crusaders with the islamic sovereignty
taken place under the Mamluk-Ottoman rule in the
area. Even today, in same international meetings a
discussion about the possibility of application of
the Ottoman model to the Jerusalem status is
noticeable.
