Care Problems and Burnout Levells of Nurses Working in Eventide Homes and Geriatric Care-Rehabilitation Centers

Abstract

Objective: The study aimed to determine the care problems and burnout levels of nurses working in eventide homes and geriatric care-rehabilitation centers. Method: This descriptive study included total 158 eventide homes in Turkey 2004 . Study was completed with 216 nurses, which accepted to participate in the study. For data collection, a questionnaire developed by the researchers and “Maslach Burnout Inventory” were used. Data were collected by face-to-face interview in Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir; in other cities by fax, and mail. HUZUREVİ VE YAŞLI BAKIM REHABİLİTASYON MERKEZLERİNDE ÇALIŞAN HEMŞİRELERİN YAŞADIKLARI BAKIM SORUNLARI VE TÜKENMİŞLİK DÜZEYLERİ

Abstract

Amaç: Çalışma huzurevi ve yaşlı bakım-rehabilitasyon merkezlerinde çalışan hemşirelerin yaşadıkları bakım sorunlarını ve hemşirelerin tükenmişlikdüzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı nitelikteki çalışma kapsamına Türkiye’de 2004 yılı bulunan toplam 158 huzurevi alınmıştır. Çalışma, araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 216 hemşire ile tamamlanmıştır. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen anket formu ve “Maslach Tükenmişlik Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Veriler Ankara, İstanbul ve İzmir illerinde yüzyüze görüşme yöntemiyle, diğer illerde faks ve posta ile toplanmıştır. Bulgular: Çalışmamızda huzurevinde çalışmaktan memnun olmayanların vemesleği kendine uygun bulmayanların duygusal tükenme ve duyarsızlaşmapuanlarının yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır p
