THE EFFECT OF PLANNED TRAINING ON TRANSFER ANXIETY OF THE PATIENTS FOR TRANSFER TO THE CLINIC FROM INTENSIVE CARE UNIT OF CARDIOVASCULAR SURGERY

Abstract

Purpose: This study was carried out to evaluade the effect of planned training on transfer anxiety of the patients for transfer to the clinic from intensive care unit.Material -Method: This Study was conducted as an experimental study. It was carried at intencive care unit and cardiovascular surgery clinic, Aziziye Research Hospital Süleyman Demirel Medical Centre, Atatürk University in Erzurum. The data were collected from 60 patients as 30 for control group and 30 for experimental group in the dates between 9thApril 2001 and 14th April 2002.In collecting data, questionnaire form which account for what the patients thought about transfer before and after being transferred and identifying features of the patients, State – Trait Anxiety Scale were used. In the analysis of data percentage calculations, chi-square test of the signiŞ cancy tests, independent samples t tests and repeated measures analysis of variance tests were used. Findings: The number of the patients who stated that they felt fear because of the absence of nurse all time with them in the clinic was 46.7% in control group, 20% in experimental group, and the difference between the groups was found signiŞ cant p=.028 . The difference between State anxiety point averages of control group and experimental group was found statistically signiŞ cant, in further extent, before during and after transfer p=.001 . State anxiety level in the patients of experimental group was found lower than those of control group.Result: The Ş ndings obtained as a result of this study indicate that planned training is effective for reducing the transfer anxiety

KALP DAMAR CERRAHİSİ YOĞUN BAKIM ÜNİTESİNDEN KLİNİĞE TAŞINMADA PLANLI EĞİTİMİN HASTALARIN TAŞINMA KAYGISI ÜZERİNE ETKİSİ

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalıșma Yoğun Bakım Ünitesi YBÜ ’ nden kliniğe tașınan hastalarda, planlı eğitimin tașınma kaygısı üzerine etkisini değerlendirmek, amacı ile yapılmıștır.Gereç- Yöntem: Bu çalıșma deneysel araștırma türünde yapılmıș olup, Erzurum ili, Atatürk Üniversitesi Süleyman Demirel Tıp Merkezi Aziziye Araștırma Hastanesi Kalp Damar Cerrahisi Yoğun Bakım Ünitesi ve kliniğinde yapılmıștır. Veriler, 9 Nisan 2001 – 14 Nisan 2002 tarihleri arasında, 30’u kontrol, 30’u deney grubu olmak üzere 60 hastaya ulașılıncaya kadar toplanmıștır.Veri toplamada; hastaların tanıtıcı özelliklerine ve tașınmadan önce ve tașındıktan sonra tașınma konusunda neler düșündüklerine yönelik soruların yer aldığı hasta soru formu ve Durumluk – Sürekli Kaygı Ölçeği kullanılmıștır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde yüzdelik test, x2 önemlilik testi, iki bağımsız grupta t testi ve tekrarlı ölçümlerde varyans analizi testi uygulanmıștırBulgular: Klinikte hemșirenin her an yanlarında olmaması nedeni ile korktuğunu ifade eden hasta sayısı kontrol grubunda %46.7, deney grubunda %20’dir ve aradaki fark istatistiksel olarak önemli bulunmuștur p=.028 . Hastaların YBÜ’de kaldıkları gün sayısı ortalama olarak 2.8 ± 99’dur.Kontrol ve deney grubundaki hastaların tașınma öncesi, sırası ve sonrasında, durumluk kaygı puan ortalamaları arasındaki fark istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bulunmuștur p=.001 .Sonuç: Bu çalıșmanın sonucunda elde edilen bulgular, planlı eğitimin tașınma kaygısını azaltmada etkili olduğunu göstermektedir
