Abstract

Objectives: This study was carried out to determine nurses’ views about researching and whether nurses utilize research’s results in nursing care or not as descriptively. Methods: The sample of this study consists of 237 nurses working in a university hospital in Sivas. Findings of this research are collected with a questionnaire that is prepared by researchers. Data were evaluated by frequency distribution and Chi-Square test. Results: This study is shown that 45.6 % of nurses participate in any research process and 80.6 % of them have used the results of researches on nursing care. Moreover, only 4.6 % of nurses are members of HEMAR-G association, 11.4% of them read professional journal orderly and 78.9% of nurses join a scientific meeting at least one time about their professions. Year 2008, Volume: 10 Issue: 2, 3 - 16, 01.08.2008
