Adaptation to Turkish of Nursing Education Stress Scale

Öz

Objective: This reseach was conducted in order to test the validity and reliability of Turkish form of Nursing Education Stress Scale which was developed in order to determine the stress faced by undergraduate students during their education. Method: The sample of methodological research was composed of 774 students having education in 4 distinct nursing undergraduation programs in the spring semester of 2011-2012 in Marmara and West Black Sea regions and those who accepted to participate. Nursing Education Stress Scale is a four-point Likert-scale including 32 items and 2 sub dimensions. After the adaptation of the scale to Turkish language was performed by back translation method, annotated and confirmatory factor analysis for validity, internal consistency analysis for reliability cronbach alpha coefficient, item-total correlation, intraclass reliability coefficient, Kappa coefficient, correlation coefficient were used. Result: At the end of the analysis Kaiser- Meyer-Olkin value was determined to be 0.93. It was observed that the obtained chi-square value according to Bartlett’s test was significant. Öz

Amaç: Bu araştırma Hemşirelik lisans öğrencilerinin eğitimleri sırasında yaşadıkları stresi belirlemek için geliştirilen Hemşirelik Eğitimi Stres Ölçeği’nin Türkçe formunun geçerlik ve güvenirliğini test etmek amacı ile yapılmıştır Yöntem: Metodolojik tipteki araştırmanın örneklemini 2011-2012 öğretim yılı bahar yarıyılında Marmara ve Batı Karadeniz bölgesindeki 4 Hemşirelik Lisans Programında öğrenim gören ve çalışmayı kabul eden 774 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Hemşirelik Eğitimi Stres Ölçeği, 4’lü Likert tipte, 32 maddelidir ve 2 alt boyuttan oluşmaktadır. Ölçeğin Türk diline uyarlaması çeviri geri çeviri yöntemi ile yapıldıktan sonra, geçerlik için açımlayıcı ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizi, güvenirliği için iç tutarlık analizleri cronbach alpha katsayısı, madde toplam puan korelasyonu, sınıf içi güvenirlik katsayısı, Kappa katsayısı, korelasyon katsayısı kullanılmıştır.Bulgular: Analiz sonucunda Kaiser- Meyer-Olkin değerinin 0.93 olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bartlett küresellik testi sonucuna göre elde edilen ki-kare değerinin manidar olduğu görülmüştür X² 774 =7050,137; P
