Öğrenci Sinizmi: Üniversiteye Yönelik Sinik Tutumlar Ölçeğini Türkçe’ye Uyarlama, Geçerlik ve Güvenirlik Analizi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, Brockway, Carlson, Jones ve Bryant 2002 tarafından geliştirilen “Üniversiteye Yönelik Sinik Tutumlar Ölçeği”nin Türkçeye uyarlamasına yönelik geçerlik ve güvenilirlik çalışmalarını gerçekleştirmektir. Çalışma grubu 1’de, 2016-2017 eğitim-öğretim yılında Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi İngiliz Dili Eğitimi Anabilim Dalında öğrenim gören 3. sınıf öğretmen adayları yer almakta olup; ölçeğin Türkçe formu ile İngilizce formu arasındaki tutarlılığı belirlemek için dilsel eşdeğerlik çalışmaları gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma grubu 2’de ise, uygun örnekleme yöntemi esas alınarak belirlenen ve 2016-2017 eğitim-öğretim yılında Akdeniz Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Fen Bilgisi, İngiliz Dili, Matematik, Okul Öncesi, Sınıf, Sosyal Bilgiler ve Türkçe Eğitimi ile Psikolojik Danışmanlık ve Rehberlik Anabilim Dalı 3. ve 4.sınıflarında öğrenim gören öğretmen adayları yer almaktadır. Elde edilen bulgulara dayalı olarak Üniversiteye Yönelik Sinik Tutumlar Ölçeği’nin öğretmen adaylarının öğrenim gördükleri üniversiteye yönelik sinizm tutumlarını değerlendirmede uygun bir veri toplama aracı olduğu söylenebilir. Bu araştırma kapsamında öğrenci sinizmi kavramı ulusal literatüre tanıtılmış olup; öğrencilerin üniversitelerine yönelik sinik tutumlarını değerlendirmede kullanılabilecek bir ölçeğin Türkçeye uyarlaması ile geçerlik ve güvenirlik analizleri gerçekleştirilmiştir

Student Cynicism: A Study of Adaptation, Validity and Reliability of Cynical Attitudes toward College Scale

Abstract

The aim of this study is to carry out the validity and reliability study, and the adaptation of the “Cynical Attitudes towards Collage Scale” to Turkish developed by Brockway, Carlson, Jones and Bryant 2002 . Study group 1 includes the linguistic equivalence study conducted to determine the consistency between the Turkish and the English form of Cynical Attitudes toward College Scale. The study group 1 constitutes 3rd grade teacher candidates of English Language Teaching Department at Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University in the academic year of 2016-2017. In study group 2 constitutes teacher candidates who are studying in the 3rd and 4th grades of Education Faculty departments of Science Education, English Language Teaching, Mathematics Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Social Science Education, Turkish Language Education and Psychological Counseling and Guidance at Akdeniz University in the academic year of 2016-2017 who were determined based on convenience sampling method. Based on the findings, it can be said that the Cynical Attitudes toward College Scale is a data collection tool suitable for assessing cynical attitudes towards a higher education institution of students. Students who are studying in academic units of other higher education institutions can use this scale, which is adapted based on the view of students of a state university education faculty
