Abstract

Bu çalışma ile Hacettepe Üniversitesi’nden 2012 yılında lisans programlarından mezun olanların istihdama geçiş, istihdam ve kazanç durumlarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu yönüyle çalışmanın betimsel tarama modelinde olduğu söylenebilir. Çalışmadan elde elden bulguların, üniversitenin eğitim hizmetlerinin niteliğini değerlendirmede, gerekli görülen düzenlemelerin ve iyileştirmelerin planlanmasında yol gösterici olacağı düşünülmektedir. Çalışma, Hacettepe Üniversitesi’nden 2012 yılında 127 önlisans ve lisans programından mezun olan 3162 %63.18 kız, 1842 %36.82 erkek olmak üzere toplam 5004 kişi üzerinden yürütülmüştür. Anket soruları çevrim içi ortamda - “Google Documents” - erişime açılmıştır. 1342 mezun tarafından cevaplanan ankete ait analizler, veri temizleme işleminden sonra 1313 mezuna ait cevaplar kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Tüm programlara ait bulgular incelendiğinde, araştırmaya katılan mezunların %77.38’inin bir işte çalıştığı ve %22.62’sinin bir işte çalışmadığı görülmüştür. Buna göre, Hacettepe Üniversitesi 2012 yılı mezunlarının yaklaşık dörtte üçünün mezuniyetlerinden bir yıl içinde herhangi bir işte çalışmakta oldukları görülmektedir. Çalışan mezunlardan %55.12’sinin özel sektörde, %44.49’unun kamu sektöründe çalıştığı görülmektedir. Ayrıca, Hacettepe Üniversitesi mezunlarından halen çalışmakta olanların yarısına yakınının ilk üç ay içinde, beşte üçünün ise ilk altı ay içinde işe yerleştiği ve mezunların büyük bölümünün alanlarıyla ilişkili işlerde istihdam edildiği görülmüştür

Abstract

This study aims to define the transition from education to work, employment and income rates of alumni graduated from Hacettepe University in 2012. The study is well worth studying as it gives data to evaluate the services of higher education, to plan the required arrangements and improvements. In this study, descriptive survey method was used. The study was conducted with 5004 who graduated from short and first cycle, 3162 %63.18 of which were female and 1842 %36.82 of which were male. The questionnaire was sent online via “Google Documents” and 1342 graduates filled the form and after data cleansing, 1313 questionnaires were used to analyze. The findings show that 77.38% of graduates work and 22.62% of them do not work. This indicates that three fourths of the graduates graduated from Hacettepe University in 2012 have a job. 55.12% of them works in the private sector, 44.49% of them works in public sector. Also, half of the graduates started their first job in three months and three fifths found a job in six months after graduation and most of the graduates found a job relevant to their study area
