Abstract

Objective: The working environments of health
professionals are one of the risky areas for employees' health.
Medical faculty students especially intens,
are exposed to these risks during their training and clinical practices in
hospitals.
In this study,
it was aimed to determine some occupational risks and work-related complaints
encountered by the interns who were educated at a Faculty of Medicine.  Materials
and Methods
: All the interns trained at the Faculty of Medicine Hospital in
2016 were included in the descriptive study. The data were collected by the questionnaire
developed by the researcher
and analyzed in
the SPSS 22.0 package program. The data were evaluatedin terms of number,
percentile, mean and median. Results:
The study period of 87% of interns exceeds 45 hours per week. Regarding with
the working environment and conditions; There were complaints such as insomnia
(84.3%), fatigue (79.1%), adequate and balanced nutrition (76.9%), social limitation
(75.4%) and neck and back pain (57.5%).Interns said that they could most
frequently encountered with biological agents (92.5%). The prevalence of
interns injuries with penetrating-cutting instruments was 73.9%, and 86% of the
injuries stated that they used gloves during the injury. It has been determined
that the frequency of being exposed to violance by patients and/or relatives is
61.9%. Conclusion: The most common
risk factors that threaten their health have been identified as overtime and
needlestick and sharps injuries. In addition, the height of the violence rate
is also remarkable. It is suggested that managers of medical faculties and
training hospitals should make regulations to reduce risk factors.  It is also proposed to increase awareness in
terms of occupational risk factors in the interns.

Abstract

Amaç: Sağlık
profesyonellerinin

İntörnler en sık biyolojik etkenler (%92,5’i)
