Patent ductus arteriosus is a commonly detected congenital
cardiovascular disorder that leads death if not treated in the early stage. In
this report, findings of a 11 months old golden retriever with patent ductus
arteriosus are presented. Patent ductus arteriosus was diagnosed by physical
examination, X ray, electrocardiography,
echocardiography and doppler echocardiography. It is aimed to emphasize that
the golden retriever, one of the current
popular breeds ,could rarely have this genetic disorder and to add value to
this report by being the first one in our country.
