Increasing scientific database of a profession via researches is very important for it to proceed in professionalization process. Hence, one of the fundamental responsibilities of members of a profession is conducting researches and sharing the results with other members of the profession by publishing their researches. In our country, especially instructors working in academic area have been making serious efforts about conducting research. However, the number of Turkish journals for publishing the researches are not at desirable level. By starting out with this need, our journal has started to be published, since 1994 with the name of Journal of Hacettepe University School of Nursing and Hacettepe University Faculty of Health Sciences Nursing Journal between 2008- 2014. Our journal has been published since 2014 with the name of Journal of Hacettepe University Faculty of Nursing.
