Abstract

This paper concerns with the study of pretorsion classes and pretorsion
free classes considered as big lattices, ordered by class inclusion. We
obtain structural results about these lattices and we apply them to characterize
the rings for which these lattices coincide, as the Artinian principal ideal
rings.
